چکیده
Shock tube experiments are a primary means of obtaining ground test data for the hypersonic regime. Accurate characterization gas is crucial to understanding experimental results. However, flows produced behind shock wave has historically proven challenging. This paper applies methodology calculate shocked properties using experimentally recovered speed profile. Static pressure, pitot and heat transfer predictions found closely match range trajectories with both argon air gases. Thermochemical variations in gases depend strongly on along tube. It shown that requires accommodating influence effects associated varying speed. Tube diameter time significantly interaction variable speed, also magnitude nonuniformities gas. Location number timing stations facilities play vital role ability accurately characterize given experiment.

A Lattice Boltzmann Method-based Flux Solver and Its Application to Solve Shock Tube Problem
This paper presents an approach, which combines the conventional finite volume method (FVM) with the lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM), to simulate compressible flows. Similar to the Godunov scheme, in the present approach, LBM is used to evaluate the flux at the interface for local Riemann problem when solving Euler/Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations by FVM. Two kinds of popular compressible Lattice B...

15 صفحه اولApplication of a quantification SWOT analytical method
In this paper we present a Quantified SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analytical method which provides more detailed and quantified data for SWOT analysis. The Quantified SWOT analytical method adopts the concept of Multiple-Attribute Decision Making (MADM), which uses a multi-layer scheme to simplify complicated problems, and thus is able to perform SWOT analysis on sev...

The Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method, developed originally to calculate rarefied gas dynamical problems, is applied to continuous flow including shocks assuming that the Knudsen number is sufficiently small. In particular, we study the formation of spiral shocks in the accretion disc of a close binary system. The method involves viscosity and thermal conduction automatically, and can...

The aim of this paper is to develop a new two dimensional time accurate Euler solver for shock tube applications. The solver was developed to study the performance of a newly built short-duration hypersonic test facility at Universiti Tenaga Nasional “UNITEN” in Malaysia. The facility has been designed, built, and commissioned for different values of diaphragm pressure ratios in order to get wi...
